Blood Wedding (Spanish: Bodas de Sangre) is a tragedy by the Spanish dramatist Federico GarcĂ­a Lorca. It was written in 1932 and first performed in Madrid in March 1933 and later that year in Buenos Aires. The main themes of the play are death, individualism vs. society as well as women's role in society.
